DC update
So I just wrapped up my first week in my new home, Adams Morgan, a northwest neighborhood of Washington, DC. I'm living in The Ontario, a century-old landmark coop located on the edge of Rock Creek Park.
I'm continuing to write full-time for my New York writing job, using Tryst coffee shop as my new office. I'm writing on my new T60 widescreen, since my old Thinkpad from Wake Forest finally died on me. (It lasted a valiant 4.5 years.)
So far I've hung out with Republican lobbyists, Georgetown med students, and old middle school friend (from when I lived in Laurel, MD). I've started to explore the park, namely the National Zoo, which is just a few hundred yards from my place, always open, and always free. I joined a neighborhood coed kickball/boozing league. Getting a bicycle next week so I can start exploring the city and take road trips to places like my old neighborhood in MD, Becca's horse farm in NOVA, and the Sulick estate on the Chesapeake. And the blossoms will be here next week.
Call if you're ever in town! I have a new number: 240-715-8633
